Wareesha Farooqui is an emerging Indian poet, born on 17th September 1999 in Prayagraj (formerly Allahabad). She completed her schooling from Girls’ High School and College, Prayagraj and later pursued her graduation from Integral University, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. She penned her first poem in 2019 in remembrance of her late father, marking the beginning of her heartfelt journey into the world of poetry. Along with writing, she has a deep passion for painting and public speaking, activities that allow her to express her vibrant creativity.
In 2022, she published her first poetry collection, “Vividhta Bhaavnao Ki,” with the Heartbeat Rhythm team. Since then, she has contributed as a co-author to several anthologies. She has also actively participated in open mic events and has won medals in poetry competitions held at her college. Besides being a studious and gold-medalist graduate, she chose to follow her dream of becoming a poet — a turning point that reshaped her life. Through her writing, she aims to create poems that readers can deeply connect with — becoming the voice of many unspoken emotions and untold stories.
“Published Work”
The title of this book is “Vividhta Bhaavnaon Ki”, which translates to “Diversity of Emotions” in English. It is a collection of poems through which I have tried to capture the wide range of human emotions — such as love, friendship, heartbreak, and more. All the poems are written in Hindi, our official language, ensuring that people from all walks of life can read and connect with them easily. I have intentionally used simple and accessible words because encountering difficult vocabulary can often disrupt the flow and excitement of reading.
Some of the poems are drawn from my personal experiences, while others are inspired by the people around me and the society we live in. Through these poems, I aim to give a voice to those who struggle to express their emotions. I hope that every reader finds something meaningful and relatable in this book and feels that their time spent reading it was truly worthwhile.
